Perfect Rep II: ‘Own Your Body’ Workshop

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE HERE! – Contact us to reserve your place.

On Saturday 19th November we’ll be hosting our second workshop with dr mc schraefel. Whether you were at the previous session or not, this one will leave you with a fascinating array of tips, tricks & drills that you can use straight away to improve your quality of movement & athletic performance.

  • Do you want to move pain free?
  • Break a performance plateau?
  • Lift heavier and move faster; get leaner, rest better
  • All preferably right now – not days, weeks, months of training later?

More often than not there is indeed a practical path to get immediate performance improvement, right now, and it’s pretty simple:

WE NEED TO MOVE!

The better the quality of our movement, it seems, the better quality of our practice. No kidding.

No science person will say “this is exactly why this approach works” – we’re too complex with too many unknowns about us to say for sure – heck we’re not entirely sure why aspirin works.

The best science and practice, however, is showing us that the nervous system is a potent factor in controlling our performance.  Work with the nervous system through movement firing up motion, balance and vision, and we have a powerful deliberate path to find performance enhancements – whether that improvement is pain reduction or greater speed strength and recovery.

In September, we looked at some simple drills that could be applied immediately for vision, balance and movement that had immediate benefit for performance – in this case, working on kettlebell lifts.

In this second workshop, we’ll review those drills and then go through our bodies, one joint at a time
learning precise targets and movements to dial in your own mobility practice to

  • keep improving performance
  • reducing incidence of injury and
  • recovering quicker

Whether you’re just starting a physical practice, thinking about diet and getting lean or already an accomplished athlete, there’s something for everyone in this workshop.

You will leave with

  • - an introduction to precise movements for each joint in the body -with special focus on the usual stuck areas in the hips and upper back
  • - how to use fun movement, vision and balance drills to improve performance
  • - how to take advantage of skeletal structure to enhance muscular performance
  • - how to  blend mobility practice with training sessions
  • - three things science seems to be saying about why this movement path is so immediately effective
  • - more assessments for testing and improving performance
  • - at least one joke about Canadians

As with workshop one, we will test and reassess every move we make throughout the day so you can get better at tuning what works for you.

There are no secrets: we are applying the best we know about movement and science to improve performance not today but right this minute.

Contact us to reserve your place.

Start time is noon & the workshop finish approximately 4pm. Cost is £80 per person, payable in advance, but discounts are available as follows:
